Frangipani flowers for a UK wedding?
August 14th, 2009Does anyone know if it is possable to have Frangipani flowers in a wedding boquet in England. I got engaged in Australia and they were the flower of our holiday and i think they are beautiful but i dont know if i can have them, they dont grow wild in UK, its not hot enough but can a florist get them for my wedding?
Has anyone any experience with getting exotic flowers for a wedding?
They are also known as Plumeria
i think we have decided to include them on things like the invites but as we wont be able to get real ones
il have to have something else for my real flowers.
I just came across your question while searching for photos of frangipanis as my art study subject. I don’t think you can find them in UK. When i was in UK some time ago, i only came across the name Frangipani – a hobby shop in cottage craft center in Tenby, Swansea. I,m now in Malaysia, and we have a lots of frangipani here – variety in species and colours. It is one of soft item for landscaping in resorts and widely used in spas. Definitely it is tropical grown species – meaning that you can find them in countries of South-East Asia region.
Good luck.
